The Pheasant Tail Nymph is as well known as any fly out there, and this is it's collared cousin. Tied with most of the same components, but with the addition of a hot spot and some soft hackle, this fly comes together in much the same way but can be fished differently... or exactly the same. Regardless, it is exceptional as a quick way to fill a box and catch a lot of fish.
