🌿PL: Polski Kontyngent Wojskowy w Iraku (PKW Irak) – wydzielony komponent Sił Zbrojnych RP, przeznaczony do udziału w działaniach stabilizacji (2003–2008) Kontyngent wojskowy, wówczas największy w historii polskich misji pokojowych, bo liczący ok. 2500 żołnierzy, formowano na bazie 12 DZ (dowództwo i jednostki dywizyjne) i 12 BZ (brygadowa grupa bojowa) od kwietnia (kiedy to powołano Grupę Organizacyjno-Przygotowawczą) do czerwca. Przemieszczenie w rejon operacji rozpoczął na początku czerwca, w następujących fazach: 5–12 czerwca – grupa inicjatywna 2–8 lipca – grupa przygotowawcza 5–22 sierpnia – siły główne. 🌿ANG: Polish Military Contingent in Iraq (PMC Iraq) - a separate component of the Polish Armed Forces, intended to participate in stabilization activities (2003–2008) The military contingent, at that time the largest in the history of Polish peacekeeping missions, numbering about 2,500 soldiers, was formed on the basis of 12 DZ (headquarters and division units) and 12 BZ (brigade combat group) from April (when the Organizational and Preparatory Group was established) to June. The movement to the operation area began at the beginning of June, in the following phases: June 5–12 - initiative group July 2-8 - preparatory group August 5-22 - main forces.
