Howto model Through Dovetails in FreeCAD

Описание к видео Howto model Through Dovetails in FreeCAD

This tutorial shows how to use FreeCAD to model through dovetail joinery used in fine furniture and other applications. This tutorial is intended for furniture makers and wood workers who want an alternative to SketchUp for designing furniture, boxes, etc.

I will demonstrate a method for modelling through dovetails by creating a tail board containing the dovetails, and a pin board containing the pins.

In this tutorial you will learn how to design the parts, learn more about FreeCAD's constraint system, how to assemble the parts, and finally how to animate the joinery to show how it comes together.

Workbenches used:

- Sketcher
- Part Design
- Assembly 2
- Exploded Assembly
