2015 Defeat the Drought Water Conservation Expo

With recent statewide water restrictions and the approaching dry summer months, California residents must identify the most effective ways to reduce their water usage at home. To address this need, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin (D-Thousand Oaks) and the City of Thousand Oaks hosted a water conservation exposition that included speakers, drought experts, and a workshop series. Throughout the day, residents visited vendor booths, attended workshops and talked with experts who explained the facts about the drought and gave creative ideas to help with your conservation plans. Attendees had full access to prominent local businesses specializing in landscaping, artificial turf installation, drought tolerant plants, architecture and design, greywater management, indoor retrofitting and more.

The event featured local vendors, as well as hourly indoor workshops on topics that included:
