This is a popular, basic recipe for a Coconut Oil & Baking Soda Paste:

Ingredients You Need:

Abrasive/Cleanser: Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) or Bentonite Clay

Base: Organic Coconut Oil (this also has natural antimicrobial properties)

Flavor/Antimicrobial: Peppermint Essential Oil (Food Grade) or Xylitol for sweetening

Basic Steps:

Melt the Oil: Gently warm the coconut oil just until it becomes liquid (it melts around 76
∘F or 24 ∘ C).

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a small jar, combine your baking soda (or clay) with the sweetener (if using).

Combine: Slowly mix in the melted coconut oil and essential oil drops until you achieve a smooth, uniform paste consistency.

Store: Place the paste in a sealed glass jar and use a small spoon or spatula to apply it to your brush.
