Types of Remand:

Rights of the Accused during Remand:
The accused has the right to be informed of the reasons for arrest.
The accused has the right to be produced before a magistrate, who will decide on the remand.
The accused has the right to challenge the remand and seek bail.
Limitations on Remand:
The total period of police remand is usually limited (e.g., 15 days in Pakistan).
Magistrates must record their reasons for granting a remand order.
The accused has the right to be released on bail if the investigation is not completed within a reasonable time.
