This whole album came together pretty fast. Just a few months beforehand Myself, Tracy and Matt were out in California with the original line up when out of nowhere the drummer, bass player and 2nd guitar player left us and headed back East. With that, we had no idea what to do... stay, go??? that same day i called Eric and he told me he was starting a band with Jay and Jeremy and they needed a singer, guitar player and someone on keys, which is exactly what we all played, so with that we headed back and formed the new Coldread. We quickly wrote these songs and recorded them in Worcester (wustahhhh) Mass. My memory of this is recording during a huge snow storm. When we got back 2 days later, Eric had left his car at my place and unfortunately left his windows open like a dumbass lol so there was literally 4 feet of snow in his car.
Life Imitating Art was the only song we kept on this album and carried it to the next one "together we all..." -Marc
