On September 26, 1917 (Third Battle of Ypres) the Polygone Forest was recaptured from the Germans by the 5th Australian Division. In the winter of 1917 and the spring of 1918, the New Zealand Division was stationed in this sector. Among other things, they would construct these 2 shelters. The area would change occupier again in April 1918, during the German Spring Offensive.

Scott Post: Despite several German attacks in the fall of 1914, the Polygone Forest remained in the hands of the Allies. However, on May 3, 1915, following the Second Battle of Ypres, the area fell into German hands. They built scaffolding and fortifications, including this construction. And this construction was captured by the 56th Australian battalion and is named after the commander of this battalion, namely "Scott Post".
