Selam Sessions: Etzia feat. Hot This Year Band

Etzia started out as a student of music a long, long time ago, but now she enters Selam Sessions as a master of dancehall, reggae and Jamaican musical tradition. One of the stalwarts behind the Femtastic powerhouse of a music collective that has brought dancehall, hip hop and dance music to audiences around Sweden for more than a decade and toured extensively internationally. She has been one of the Swedish voices in a roots tradition that effortlessly combines music for mind, body and soul, for the heads and dancers. This performance is arguably even deeper than her usual outings - listen to the lyrics and delivery.

Selam Sessions is our long overdue project to showcase the whole range of music and styles that Selam represents to the world. We’ve finally organized a series of recordings highlighting the output of the artists we love most and presenting work of the highest order to music lovers globally.
