The Fool Declares to His Own Heart; based on Psalm 53

Описание к видео The Fool Declares to His Own Heart; based on Psalm 53

Music: Scottish Psalter, 1615; arr. John Milton (1608-1674)
Text: Rowland S. Ward, 1991

1. 1 The fool declares to his own heart: “There’s no such one as God.”
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile, not one of them does good.

2. 2 Our God from out of Heaven looks upon the sons of men,
To see if any understands, if any seeks for God.

3. 3 No, they have all become corrupt, each one has turned his back;
There’s no one who does any good, no, not a single one.

4. 4 Do they not know this is their way, these workers of much sin,
Who eat my people as their food, and do not call on God?

5. 5 But they are overcome with dread when they thought all was safe.
God vanquished them; You made them naught, for God has cast them off.

6. 6 Oh, may deliverances rise for Israel out of Zion!
Jacob will joy, yes, Israel sing when God restores His own.
