This is our most insane project yet - a luxury house cantilevered 40 feet beyond the edge of a Scottish cliff, suspended 300 feet above the crashing waves.

The engineering is ambitious, but the views are worth every terrifying moment. We used massive steel cantilever beams anchored deep into the cliff face to support the entire living space hanging over the void. The master bedroom literally floats in mid-air with floor-to-ceiling glass walls on three sides, so you're sleeping suspended above the ocean with nothing but glass between you and a 300-foot drop. The Carrara marble floating tables had to be specially engineered for the cantilever load, and the storm windows are built to withstand 200mph winds. Walking through this house is like being in a glass box floating in the sky - absolutely incredible but definitely not for anyone scared of heights.
