Drago Dzieran was born in Poland while under Communist rule. After spending time in a Communist prison as a political prisoner for his activism, he immigrated to the United States in 1984. Drago became a US citizen in 1991. After the first Gulf War broke out, he enlisted in US Navy. Drago performed over one hundred combat direct action missions as an NSW Lead Breacher while deployed to Iraq in 2003, 2004, and 2005.

Jason Redman spent eight years as an enlisted U.S. Navy SEAL, and was commissioned as a SEAL Officer in 2004. He completed combat deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. In 2007, outside of Fallujah, Iraq, Lt. Redman's Assault Team came under heavy fire and he was severely wounded.

Edward C. Byers Jr. aspired to become an elite soldier in the United States military. After a deployment with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit in 1999, Byers was accepted to attend Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training. He graduated with BUD/S Class 242 and fulfilled his dream of becoming a Navy SEAL. On December 8, 2012, Byers was part of a hostage rescue mission involving an American Physician being held captive by the Taliban. His actions on that mission would earn him the Medal of Honor.
