[EDIT] "The Driver" | The Bad Guys (Extended version)

Back with an "experimental" edit this time with The Bad Guys (in 4K60fps)

This video is more of a "showcase" of what I can do with AI, and having some fun while editing


Long story short with this edit of a new type for me with the introduction of AI, which open new opportunities

This was in first place a Short I made for fun but with AI being everywhere, I decided to push it further with an "experimentation". The idea was simple : producing an "movie" edit like any others you can see in the Shorts section with a better quality

But the format (portrait) was contraining (big zoom on 16:9 sequences or square format with black bars), so I decided to go even further and going back on a "normal" YouTube video (16:9) for a better immersion, trying my best to make it work (unlike my Sly Cooper Music Clips 😁)

Because of the change of "type of video", the 1min limit was gone so I decided to do an extended version of the edit with more scenes for including more close shots/slow action to see how the AI would react


Since there is a lot of different clips from different videos with different quality, the final result was poor (1080p with a "fake" 60fps) and very bad for the eyes. AI came handy in this situation working on the upscaling of the edit (even if certain clips were below 1080p, the result was still okay) and the final touch being the frame interpolation up to 120fps !

Sadly since YouTube only allows 60fps, and with compression, the quality of the video might drop a lot, even if on very big screen (and you look closely) you see the "wavey" thing of the AI, that's why I recommand looking at this video on a smaller screen such as a phone or even your computer screen (a TV 🤔) for a good looking video

The result is maybe not the best but I wanted to try this new technique and I learned some stuff about AI

"Why using clips from The Bad Guys ?"

Not gonna lie I loved that movie, even if the plot is really simple. But the visuals are incredible and I really wanted to try editing it and have some fun with certains scenes
