This is a love story of Narwar prince Dhola and Poogal princess Maru. The couple is married in their childhood. Later the father of Dhola, the king Nal, died and Dhola forgot the marriage and got married again to Malwani. Maru sent many messages to Dhola, but all were destroyed by Malwani.

Hindi:- 'डोला-मारू' की कथा राजस्थान की अत्यन्त प्रसिद्ध लोक गाथा है। इस लोक कथा में नरवर के राजकुमार का विवाह पूगल देश की राजकुमारी से बचपन में हो जाता हैं।। पर राजकुमार ढोला के पिता उसको नही बताते ह। तो मारू अपने पति ढोला को खत लिखती हैं, जिस पढ़ कर ढोला को पता चलता हैं , की बचपन में मारू से उसका विवाह हो गया था ।
