I was inspired by that incredible place that is Bondi Beach in Sydney Australia, and I decided to paint it, acrylic on canvas with added texture!
This time I challenged myself trying not to use paintbrushes, at least until halfway the creation process, and instead I've used sponges, squeeges, palette knives, old debit cards, or simply splattered paint on the canvas! This freed me from the urge of going straight into the details and from the idea of perfectionism that many times blocks me as an artist and limits my freedom. This was indeed an excercise in freedom, and I hope you like this short video that condenses roughly 8 hours of work in 57 seconds! :) Feel free to let me know what you think!
