MY TASTING EXPERIENCE

Breckenridge - Bourbon
👃🏻Nose: Very heavy on the caramel and vanilla notes. Typical bourbon aroma. I smelled strong hints of oak, corn and toasted bread, and overall thought it has a quite light and subtle aroma.

👅Palate: Sweet taste with the caramel, vanilla and honey. I thought it is very smooth and buttery going down. Small hints of corn. To me, honey was the primary factor overlaid with vanilla and other typical bourbon notes. Some floral notes throughout as well -- sunflower?

🥅 Finish: Was not blown away, but did enjoy the smooth palette going down and stayed throughout the entire experience.

Season: Late Summer 🌼

FEW - Rye
👃🏻Nose: So much going on in the aroma! Super sweet and heavy citrus tones. Lots of ginger and I understand the hickory wood references other people were saying on the community reviews. Ginger, lemon, orange, apple are all very prominent in here among other things.

👅Palate: Tastes like it smells. Ginger, lemon, orange, and apple still come out strong. It has a sharp taste to it all throughout. Quite a bite compared to the smooth, buttery taste of the Breckenridge right before. Sweet and citrusy taste for sure.

🥅 Finish: Started sharp and finished sharp.

Season: Early to Mid Summer 🌻

Wolfburn - Scotch
👃🏻Nose: Citrus and lemon, with a very slight tone of orange. I didn't quite get the same scent as what I was reading in the descriptions and community reviews, particularly not cigar smoke as some people were saying. The nose really didn't provide much preview to what I was going to taste. It's quite a light aroma, and I think it's quite similar to some Japanese whiskies that I have had.

👅Palate: Huge kick upon tasting, which the nose never would have prepared me for. Strong hints of black pepper and other baking spices. I didn't find it to be spicy in the sense of a jalapeño pepper which was described in other community reviews. Even though there's a big kick, I would say this whiskey is still quite smooth and buttery. Great combination. Also some nutty tastes, particularly almonds, combined with floral notes. It does remind me of the Kikkori, though still very unique in its own way.

🥅 Finish: Big kick at the start of the palate, which lasts all throughout the finish. This is where I would find it similar to a jalapeño pepper, because that strong taste just lingers. The palate and finish is way more complicated than the nose in my opinion, and I really enjoyed this scotch. Would certainly buy a bottle.

Season: Late Autumn 🍁
