The porbeagle or porbeagle shark (Lamna nasus) is a species of mackerel shark in the family Lamnidae, distributed widely in the cold and temperate marine waters of the North Atlantic and Southern Hemisphere. In the North Pacific, its ecological equivalent is the closely related salmon shark (L. ditropis). It typically reaches 2.5 m (8.2 ft) in length and a weight of 135 kg (298 lb). The model was developed for a commercial project and used in a fishing simulator game. It was necessary to make three sizes (large, medium, small). During the manufacture, a full production cycle of the game ready model was implemented. First, the sculpture of the base form was made, after that retopology and production of a low-poly model were made. Then the UV wrap was done and the detailing was baked from the high-poly sculpture. At the end, a texture was made for one of the sizes. Textures and meshes of other sizes are produced after a slight modification of the base form. The production of the model (all three sizes) took about 40 hours.
