Not much needs to be said here except that Alexander is going down.

He's not much different than his chapter 9 incarnation. As a refresher, his personal skill grants him +5 damage and 25% avoid if his hp is above 75% while Gladiolus, Speargarden's regalia, is 1-2 range and grants a skl% chance to trigger Sol, healing Alexander for an amount equal to the damage he inflicts.

There's one thing that makes this chapter a much easier prospect for taking him down...you can very easily make him not be standing on a tile that raises his avoid and break his support with Caroline. A flyer that can survive a hit from Caroline's Elfire tome means you can pull her away right around time you see my Aylanda engage Alexander in combat.

Speaking of Aylanda, I needed that backup Speedwings so she doesn't get doubled by him. With Starfall, she can potentially deal a huge chunk of damage if a crit triggers, meaning some smart positioning with Emilia's crit aura to raise the chances of that crit happening. She nails it on her second try.

That big critical puts Alex in range to be taken out quite easily by Fred with a Horseslayer, meaning Fred gets a shiny Gladiolus that only he can use. He puts this to use over the next couple of turns to completely shame the elite Speargarden mounted units.

Caroline though is spared Fred's wrath for one reason...Jakka can have another talk with her. After this, just need to make sure she can't reach anybody squishy.

That just leaves Samuel to deal with who has some unique qualities about him. First, he will not attack Lilinette, Theodor, or Christina, but he will counterattack them so keep that in mind.

Secondly, if he isn't lv10 before his last chapter in 11, he'll be auto leveled to that and get bonus stats as well.

Samuel only has Rosethorn, meaning you want to send in your tankiest unit to tank a potential Impale proc from the weapon. That'll make him a sitting duck for your effective weaponry (and some banter with Aylanda & Jakka).

Finally, if Theodor or Christina have an A rank support with Samuel. Let whomever has it deal the killing blow. This'll cause Samuel to hand over the Rosethorn to that lucky individual.

After the fight finishes...Jakka's team has to run like mad cause Mortimer's squad is right behind them. Little do they know the kind of beast they let escape...or the fact Samuel somehow still draws breath.

The problem with that? Alvaro wants to utilize Samuel's body for...science? That's surely going to end well.

More next time!
