Super Typhoon Hinnamnor was nearing the main Okinawa Island after bringing strong winds to the Daito Islands in southwestern Japan.

The 11th typhoon of the year toppled trees and damaged building roofs in the Daito Area.

No injuries have been reported but about 300 households were out of power as of 10:00 AM on Wednesday.

The storm is producing high waves in various parts of Okinawa Prefecture.

Next week, it is likely to bring gusts and rains to other parts of Japan including Kyushu.
