India's Sensex & Nifty Scale To Record High | Subscribe to Firstpost

The Indian stock market indices opened higher, with Sensex and Nifty reaching fresh record highs on August 30. The Sensex rose over 300 points, or 0.40 percent, to reach 82,637, while the Nifty was up about 90 points, or 0.36 percent, at 25,249, crossing 25,200 for the first time. Meanwhile, the Indian rupee opened higher at 83.84 per dollar on Friday, compared to Thursday's close of 83.86.
