Week 12 of walking across America didn’t go as planned. I started the week recovering in a hotel room, unable to walk after pushing myself too hard the week before. I spent time exploring Athens, Ohio, visited their football stadium, and dealt with spring allergies and aggressive dogs on the road.

Even while physically limited, I found mental clarity. I reflected on discomfort, desire, and how anger is often rooted in unmet expectations. This journey continues to be more than just miles. It’s a test of mindset and growth through adversity.
