The track for round 1 of the Canadian Superbike Championship is 2.8 km long, but the road to get there was a lot longer than that. Our story started months ago, at this race shop, in the eastern townships of Quebec where a new bike had been delivered from Germany. Chapter two was in Jennings, Florida, where winter testing was supposed to shake out the bugs. And now? The first round often sets the tone for the rest of the season. The unknowns of a new team and a new bike would suggest that nothing will be predictable this year.
