I am §a Uk based Mountain Leader and decided on this occasion to put the mountains to one side and hike a section of the Pennine Way.

The Pennine Way usually takes between 16 and 20 days. My plan was to wild camp along the trail and walk as far as I could each day until my time was up.

This episode follows my journey from Edale to Black hill. I hiked up Jacobs Ladder, over kinder scout, Bleaklow and then over Black Hill. The following episodes follow me on this multi day hike from Black Hill to Tan Hill.

Many people think of the UK as small without much to explore but the truth is Hiking in the UK is a real challenge. The weather is changeable and in September 2019, although it was sunny for a number of days the evenings are very cold.
