In this video, we demonstrate handheld volume measurement of a cardboard box in an office environment using the Synexens CS40Pro TOF 3D depth camera, showcasing its ability to accurately detect and measure objects.

The camera is held approximately one meter above the box, angled downward to capture the object on the office floor. Connected to a computer via Ethernet and running the official software, we obtain real-time depth images along with the box’s length, width, height, and calculated volume.

As the system begins capturing, we observe that the object’s edges appear clearly in both the depth and point cloud views. The system accurately extracts the boundaries, surface area, and height of the object, providing real-time volume calculation. The error in length, width, and height is within 10 millimeters.

The CS40Pro supports non-contact volume measurement without the need for rulers or manual input, making it especially suitable for express parcel sorting, warehouse management, and object statistics in office environments. Whether the object has a regular or irregular shape, the camera consistently identifies and outputs volume data efficiently.

This test demonstrates the high practicality and measurement accuracy of the Synexens CS40Pro in volume measurement applications.
