We just had to make the drive out to Medina Lake, to see if the recent floods had increased the water levels for the lake. All of the attention about the July 4th flooding has been on the Guadalupe River, not the Medina River, but they did get some rain causing water flow into Medina Lake. It increased the water level from 2.2% to 4.9%, which translates to about a 9ft increase in the water level. Previous visits earlier in the year, showed tree branches in the middle of the lake, even in the deepest area closer to the dam. That's still the case, but you can see a big difference in the middle now, where the sailboat is anchored.
