Hunger Games' Sam Claflin and Jena Malone on crabs and the Catching Fire crew

Hunger Games Catching Fire stars Sam Claflin and Jena Malone have said they were made to feel very welcome when they joined the cast. "Very close-knit but very welcoming. They're sweet and awesome. And I think they were kind of excited to have some fresh blood around," Jena told us.

"I think they might have been getting just a little, not bored with each other, but ready to shake it up. And if they hadn't been, then we kind of outnumbered them. The amount of new people with Francis (Lawrence - Director) on our side, so we could have, you know, taken over the set," she added.

Both Jena and Sam agreed that there was a unique bond between Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson and the ways in which they pulled pranks on each other. However Sam ended up being the victim of one of those tricks when Josh took a can of skunk-poo and sprayed it onto toilet paper and put it in a bin in a trailer.

"I couldn't work where the smell was coming from and I was going nuts. I was going "oh my god it stinks. Who's gone into my trailer and had a s***. Seriously it stinks"," Sam remembered.

Josh ending up confessing but we're not sure whether the prank was reciprocated. Hunger Games Catching Fire opens in cinemas on 22 November. Report by Ashley Fudge.
