The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a suspect in an Assault and Theft investigation.

It is reported that:

on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at 8:35 a.m., a man entered The Art Gallery of Ontario, at Davenport Road and Avenue Road

the man attempted to steal a purse belonging to a staff member

when staff members confronted the man, he assaulted them, then fled

The man is described as black, with short hair, wearing a tan coat, white shirt with a tie, and dark pants.
