This year is coming to an end and it's about to look back at this awesome year! So what happened? The year already began gorgeously with Etihad's "Visit Abu Dhabi livery" turning into its de-icing position right infront of my lens. About 10 meters away from me... And then Lufthansa received its first A350 and made one flight to Frankfurt. I attended a special tour with access to the apron on that day and I had the chance to experience the A350 up close! Spring 2017 also had many great things to offer. Examples: Etihad's Manchester City livery, which I captured perfectly on one of the so called "morning spottings" which we have at least once a year. And then Kuwait Airways made our hearts beat faster with their new livery. And they even flew to Frankfurt as one of their first destinations with their brand new Boeing 777. In the meantime I flew on SAS 737-700 and -600 to and from Stockholm. The month of march ended and with it the Oman Air A330 service. That was one of the highlights of the year because 2 years ago I flew with Oman Air's 787. And now we have it here again in Frankfurt. I am so glad about that! Following the Oman Air 787 many other great events occured. Firstly we had an unexpected visitor: a British 787 which had to make an emergency landing at Frankfurt Airport. Later on we received our first Asiana Airlines A380. In the months of April and May I did a lot of planespotting and captured many great moments. But unfortunately one of the planes I flew on went into retirement. RIP LN-RRR! In April we had another special guest - a Saudia 777! Afterwards, Saudia flew on many more occasions with the 777 to Frankfurt which served as more highlights for this year! In May we welcomed Icelandair's "Vatnajökull" for the first time in Frankfurt. This livery looks really awesome! In summer I flew on Thai's brand new A350 and back with Qatar Airways - my favourite airline so far! What followed was a strike at British Airways which brought some Qatar Airways A320s to Frankfurt which was awesome! We then got visited by many special planes like China Eastern's Greenland Group livery and some Saudia 777s again. Swiss also caused a stir with their A330 which visited Frankfurt twice. We then had some Thai 747 services on certain days, followed by a Latam A350 flying for Qatar Airways. Autumn approached fastly and we had to say goodbye to many great planes like: Etihad's F1 livery on their A340-600, United's 747 and the KLM Fokker. Icelandair's Hekla Aurora then visited us for the first time of the year, followed by China Eastern 777s and a Royal Jordanian 787. And now we're here, awaiting 2018 which already has some fine things to offer. I'm really looking forward to the Etihad 787 which will fly daily to Frankfurt from the 16th of January!
