The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh Police recently questioned Pakistani citizen Seema Haider, who allegedly entered India illegally in May and is now living with her Indian partner Sachin Meena in Greater Noida. Seema Haider and her Indian partner Sachin Meena reportedly fell in love after meeting each other on online game PUBG.

Incidentally, this comes a day after UP ATS arrested a suspected agent of Pakistan's intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in Lucknow on charges of supplying "vital information about defence establishments" to his handlers in the neighbouring country.

Meanwhile, a little-known fringe group has also issued a threat that if Seema Haider and her four children are not evicted from the country "within 72 hours", they will start a protest. In a purported video posted on social media, a man identified as the national president of the group claimed that “Seema is a spy” and “part of some conspiracy” against the country.

Central agencies are reportedly tracing Seema's complete profile through her contacts and family in Pakistan.

Seema's uncle is reportedly a Subedar in the Pakistani Army. Apart from this, her brother also works for the Pakistani Army. Considering these inputs, investigating agencies are probing the possibility of Seema being associated with Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.

If reports are to be believed, investigating agencies have sent Seema's identity card to the Indian High Commission in Pakistan for verification.

What Pakistan is saying?
Pakistan's intelligence agencies, meanwhile, have informed the country's government that "love" was the "only" factor that caused the mother of four to sneak into India to live with a Hindu man, a media report said on Monday.

In Pakistan, Seema's family and neighbours told PTI that they do not want her to return.

What is Police and ATS investigating?

As per reports, Seema is being questioned about documents and SIM cards recovered from her. It is being reported that the ATS, in coordination with Central agencies, is probing how Seema moved from Pakistan to Uttar Pradesh. The ATS along with Central agencies is also probing the entire network involved in facilitating the illegal migration of people from Pakistan to Dubai and then to India via Nepal.
The mobile numbers used by Seema when she came to India are also being investigated.

However, the couple stirred controversy with a section of the media claiming that Seema is an ISI agent. Her previous boyfriend from Pakistan and husband from Saudi Arabia also jumped into the controversy by giving lengthy interviews to TV channels.

On July 4, Seema was arrested by local police for entering India illegally and Sachin was held for sheltering illegal immigrants. Later, they were granted bail by a local court.
