Laura Way took a leap and started her vegan leather company, Votch, all while she was suffering from a condition called Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) after she stopped using the steroid creams doctors had prescribed since she was a young child to treat her eczema.

Laura faced days where she would spend up to 21 hours in the bath to try and ease the pain she endured, and during her recovery, how she immersed herself in documentaries on animal welfare. After enduring the agony of losing her own skin, she vowed never to wear the skin of another being again! When an old watch strap of hers broke, she realised how difficult it was to find a stylish, vegan alternative.

Laura chats with Stephanie to take us through her recovery, entrepreneurial journey, the challenges she has faced along the way and more.
