This time, I visited the Bonsai Garden located in Showa Kinen Park(Memorial Park).
The Bonsai Garden at Showa Kinen Park is the first national bonsai garden in Japan, and you can admire bonsai trees of the highest quality.
You can see a variety of bonsai trees, including black pine(黒松), chinese junuiper(真柏), Japanese Yew(一位), and japanese pieris(あせび).
There is also a workshop on site, and if you are lucky, you can see the bonsai being cared for right in front of your eyes. The staff is also very kind and will explain the cultivation methods in detail, making it a very enjoyable experience.
Not only is the Bonsai Garden itself wonderful, but the staff is also very passionate about bonsai. It is one of my favorite places to not only admire bonsai trees, but also to consult with the experts and learn more about them.
