I prefer to do as much if not all of the work necessary to complete a DIY project myself; hence, the term DIY or Do It Yourself. This is why I named my brand U DO IT because I do it first then you do it. But, my slogan is I DON'T DO IT - U DO IT. Finding tools and machinery that fit within the budget is an important deciding factor in both the direction of a project and if I choose to rent or purchase. Especially, if said tools and machinery can be used in future projects. We have a local tools and machinery rental company that we love. But, I do not like spending money on a rental. I would rather invest in a tool that I know I can use on another project.

The price point of this compactor at the time of my purchase in early 2023 was just at the right value. I was able to purchase this compactor and use it to level the ground on my schedule. And, what is not shown in this video is the numerous times that I used it on the same project months later. For me to do this with a rental, I would have to revisit the rental company multiple times.

The compactor itself is quite heavy. It is listed as weighing 126 pounds. This makes it a little difficult to maneuver alone. But, I was able to get it into place and unbox it. The packaging was done well I thought and had a combination of plywood and dense cardboard to secure it in the box. The assembly was fairly simple following the directions.
