A tie-in track to my fantasy world, Asyll. This song chronicles the intertwined fates of three characters, Aerith, Diana, and Dante.

Composed in Guitar Pro 8, this is a synthetic rendering of my intended composition, including a simulated vocal lines, and is meant to stand in place of a real recording until I have the means to produce one.

[Aerith]
We were both captives of the Vale–
of my father.
[of your father.]
Bound beneath my white willow leaves,
until, forbidden, we bloomed…
Until his judgement brought our doom.

Hung in effigy to myself,
twisted, he made me OH a walking eternal hell.
Forsaken; Forlorn…

Obey. Bound and bloodied to the moon.
Howl. Break weeping binding branches.
Escape. Flee to freedom.
// Track. Find Love’s remains.

My nightmares end under sunlight,
but realize as I fall conscious.
Bare, unscathed, and bloodied by innocents(ce).
With a riven heart and a shattered mind,
alone with broken hopes,
I’m an aberration.
My blood is forever stained,
to metamorphose,
to become a Therianthrope.

Forced to watch you die,
while my screams besought him why.
As gnawing lunacy loomed near…

Raise. Protect young, feed and rear.
Hunt. Threats of territory, prey.
Pray. End all this pain– this hunger.
Raven. ‘Til naught remains.

Don’t let go:
Those words brought me back–
but weren’t just for me.
This shade of a man bore me from death:
Cradled and soothed by his tune.
[melancholia.]
I opened my sole sanguine eye: met his.
I wept bloody tears, my life now mine.

Beholden to the moons, it howled.
My stable home turned abattoir at our eleventh hour.
My blood ran when I couldn’t.
I came to feel its pain,
As it tore through my home, my family, me:
I lost an eye to eyes of the Therian Beast.

My saviour, a martyr.
Between living and dead.
Between life and love.
I sustained him as a daughter,
bonded by blood o’er water.
I carried him through the days;
he warded my nights.
Across the seas we sought new life.
But in the wake of his ghost light,
we lost our names.
We left behind love and family–
he saw his in me.

But the past is doomed to repeat,
and the beast that haunted my dreams
stood, again, in front of me.
I didn’t ask for this– facing my fears and final breath.
But I won’t run this time
Come eye to eyes again.

My eye is heavy, father.
Are you there?
It's made its pain my own–
our riven hearts.
Death comes to taste my breath,
but should it reach you first:
Don't let her go.
...
Don’t let go.

[Dante]
This burden is heavy child.
[You didn’t ask for this.]
Nor did I, but,
I can’t let you go.
[I can’t let go.]

Returned a revenant:
prisoner of midnight suns.
You’ll yet lose more than you could know.
Kindred, we are forever, together, alone.

The wicked Beast’s eyes belied
and recognized my intimate pains,
as though they knew my dead name,
Then absconded underground.
I found her, entangled in her nature,
weeping in willow roots;
Sequestered down below,
my eclipsed confidante's grotto.

We are anathema:
The Animus Beast,
The Orphan Saint,
The Fatal King.
The Moonlight Trinity,
Reflecting what lies inside.
Messiahs of aphotic skies.

[Dante]
The silent song of desolation:
to never again hear your name.
The cruelest cadence of the heart
lives on in dying memories:
the last of life and love.
My withering soul holds all our remains:
The Reaper's tears fall.
Grave I bear this solitaire curse.
I carry on to dust, once more.

[Diana harmony]
The last of love
The last of life
the reaper cries
in the moonlight

[Dante harmony]
The silent song
The cruelest heart
This dying soul
This solitaire-- cursed to dust once more

In desolation
