This thoracic surgery was an anterolateral thoracotomy for lung cancer surgery (upper lobe). It is a 2 part series covering the thoracotomy in the first video and the lung cancer resection in the second.

Initially, this was going to be a robotic case, however, there was some discussion on whether the chest wall adhesion shown on the CT scan may provide difficult with the robotic approach.

The patient consented to video recording and all images are in line with information governance.
