Summer in the stables, when all the horses are out on grass, means cleaning time. All the horse boxes are emptied, cleaned and painted. Then filled with new bedding ready for the horses to return to their stalls. This year I decided to look for a better bedding. I was tired of the all the mucking, time spent and money I've had to pay. I heard about a new type of straw pellet by Lucky Hooves, that claim to have good results so I thought I would put them to the test. This year has been a little different for us as we have enjoyed the arrival of two foals. My friend Rigmor, the owner of one of the foals, was complaining about the problems she was having with peat moss 'torv'. Especially as she was having to used halm, straw, on the top.
