As residents of Maryland prepare to mark the first anniversary of the Francis Scott Key Bridge disaster, the new documentary "Key Bridge Disaster: Reflect, Recover, Rebuild" takes an in-depth look at what happened when the container ship Dali lost power and collided with the bridge on March 26, 2024, resulting in its complete collapse and the tragic loss of six lives.

The one-hour film then examines the salvage operation, looks at the human and economic impacts of the disaster through personal stories from first responders and residents, and covers the funding and design of a new bridge for the 21st century to help energize Baltimore's and the region's economic future.

The film is a co-production of MPT, WBAL-TV, and Moudira Creative, LLC.

Maryland Public Television (MPT) will premiere "Key Bridge Disaster: Reflect, Recover, Rebuild" on Wednesday, March 19 at 8PM ET on MPT-HD and online at mpt.org/livestream. The documentary will also be available to view live and on-demand using the free PBS app and MPT’s online video player.
