The Chinese Emissions Trading System (ETS) covers the power, steel, cement and aluminium sectors, accounting for 60% of the country's total emissions. We analyse the response of China to the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, the two largest carbon markets, and what it means for India’s exports.
