Looking at a spiral hypnosis without blinking can indeed have implications, especially when used intentionally for inducing trance-like states or relaxation

1. **Minimal Cues of Trance**:
When someone focuses on a hypnotic spiral, several changes may occur, known as "minimal cues of trance."
These cues include:
**Eyefixation**: The subject's gaze becomes fixed, often with reduced blink reflex and open eye catalepsy.
**Pupil Dilation**: As the eyes defocus, the pupils may dilate.
**Slowing Blink Reflex**: The blink reflex slows down, indicating the subject is entering trance.
**Rapid Eye Movement (REM)**: Similar to dreaming, REM occurs when the subject visualizes something.
**Eyelid Flutter**: Some subjects experience an automatic eyelid flutter, which is characteristic of good hypnotic responsiveness.
**Smoothing of Facial Muscles**: Facial tension decreases, making the subject appear more relaxed.
