Make Microsoft Photos App Fast and Usable | windows 10

Many user complaining about windows 10 Microsoft photos app. Its slow, randomly crashing and sometimes hanging and freezing or just stop working. Most people think that windows photo viewer was far better than that. Actually windows 10 photos app in an surprisingly useful app. But there are some issues, its true, but you can fix them.

To fix problem first go to Start Menu

Than search for troubleshoot settings

Scroll down and find for Windows Store Apps

Click on it

Then click on run the troubleshooter

If not fixed, then again go to Start Menu

Go to Settings and click on Apps

Search for photos

Click on Microsoft Photos

Then click on Advanced Options

Scroll down to the Reset option

Then first click on Repair

This feature should repair Photos App

If problem persists then from this Reset option click on Reset.

To use the photos app smoothly and to make it useful you can follow the following steps:

First open the Photos App from start menu

Click on Start Menu and search for Photos

Click on Photos App

Click on the Folders or Import to the upper right side of the apps menu bar

Then browse for folder where you have stored photos or videos.

You also can add a folder from the Settings.

To do this go to the upper right side and click on Option button.

Select Settings.

On the left side under Sources option click on Add a folder button and choose your folder.

If you signin to your Onedrive account you can import photos and videos from your cloud storage.

In Photos App after importing photo folder Collection menu should looks like this.

You can make Album and put photos and videos to the Album.

To do this click on Album from menu bar.

Create album by clicking New album option.

It will show your all collections. choose the photos with you make a album.

Click on Create.

Click on the edit button to name your album.

Also can add photo from +add photos option.

You can save this album to your OneDrive storage account.

You can share photo to mail or any other platform
