"The Assad Regime & the Evolving Dynamics of the Opposition" is the second panel from the Center for Middle East Studies's recent conference, "Resolving the Syrian Crisis," hosted by the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies. The panel features University of Denver Assistant Professor, Erica Chenoweth, University of Edinburgh Professor, Thomas Pierret, freelance journalist and Syria commentator, Stephen Starr, and Dr. Radwan Ziadeh, Executive Director for the Syrian Center for Political & Strategic Studies. The panelists discuss the internal dynamics of the Syrian regime and its opposition, who supports whom and why, and how we might better understand the situation.
