Tech Tip: SOLIDWORKS 2015 Tutorial - Chain Component Pattern

It's what we have all been waiting for for some time now - the curtain has been pulled back to reveal some fantastic new functionality in SOLIDWORKS 2015. If you did not have the chance to take a look at the SOLIDWORKS 2015 beta releases and scour through them for the new features that would be most important to you, sit back and take the tour with the tech team here at Javelin.

First off the Mark will be the Chain Pattern Feature - which is one of the marquee assembly enhancements presented in this release.

This is one of those features that I've wanted to have available to me, way back when I was designing food safe conveyors. To be able to dynamically drag a chain based pattern around an open or closed path is an excellent way to ensure proof of concept when working with all sorts of chain-style geometry.
