When Elsa Dutton recounts the conclusion of the Dutton Ranch in Yellowstone, her monologue serves as the ideal conclusion to her family's tale. Elsa plays a significant role in the Duttons' Montana legacy, which they part ways with in the conclusion. The climax of Yellowstone season 5, part 2, brought Elsa's story back into the spotlight as her family transferred the ranch's stewardship to the Broken Rock Tribe, as her Yellowstone prequel story had predicted. Kayce sells the land to the reservation at the end of Yellowstone season five.

After Kayce's choice, Montana's Native people restore the land to the Duttons' original condition, minus one essential component. The Duttons died defending the land, so Mo Brings Plenty intervenes when some of the Broken Rock kids try to topple their graves. An overturned grave reads Elsa Dutton when Mo turns it back upright and dusts it off. Stunning scenes of her family's former ranch are narrated while the Yellowstone character from 1883 speaks in her thick southern accent.

A memorable Yellowstone series finale is enhanced by Isabel May's narration.
