This Blower is an attachment for the Southland walk behind 43cc string trimmer. It pushes and or rolls with no effort, it is not that heavy, the weight is balanced on the large wheels perfectly, think dolly moving something heavy.

Changing attachments is very easy, no tools just spin the latch to loosen pull the attachment out (say string trimmer head) push in the new attachment (say blower) till you get the little metal saddle all the way in the slot on the top, then tighten the latch and snap close.

Start the engine and go...

It has a lot of power, I have a hand held that says it has 120 mph and this Southland attachment claims 170 mph, I have no problem believing that at all, just for fun I was blowing stuff around like boxes, (the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys).

It is close to the ground, but does not touch if you are on a smooth surface like a sidewalk, but walking through grass, it will hit the ground, but that is not a problem if you keep a lose grip on the handle and let it bounce with the bumps. It really rolls with next to no effort.

The big factor is I DO NOT HAVE TO CARRY IT... I am getting up there, I have spurs in my right shoulder and muscle spasm on my right side, so basically my right side is falling apart, this makes the job of trimming, edging and blowing the clippings off the sidewalk, drive and patio much easer, with the added safety bonus using the trimmer attachment I can cut high grass without worrying what is hidden that I might hit, and if you want to take a break just let go, no bending over to lift or sit it down.

I have one bone to pick, it comes with a round nozzle which attaches toollessly, with a hand turned bolt, I wish it had a flat nozzle in addition or even as an option. A flat nozzle focuses the force, so the output is magnified, and is more controllable or directional so you can blow clippings, leafs, sand towards exactly where you want them to go. In my city it is against the law to blow towards the street or towards a neighbor so controlling where that stuff is headed is kind of a big deal.

I like having one 43cc 2 cycle (50:1) engine and 3 attachments, it gives me walk behind convenience without storing 3 large lawn tools, the attachments take up very little room, and if you remove the attachment from the Southland trimmer, it takes up less space in storage, again the attachments are toolless to remove or put on.
