Simple Smoky Eyeshadow - Makeup Tutorial Using Maybelline Palette

This week I was sent a few fab Maybelline NY products including the amazing new Lash Sensational Luscious mascara so decided to create a simple makeup look to try them out. I was super excited to try The Blushed Nudes palette as it has often been compared to the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and given that is one of my all time favourite palettes I was keen see if the Maybelline palette measured up.

The Blushed Nudes palette contains 12 really pretty "blushed nudes" which are perfect for creating soft, feminine makeup looks. I'm always on the hunt for a great mascara that not only gives my lashes much needed length and volume but is also easy to remove. The thing that really sets this new mascara apart though is the fact that it contains nourishing oils that actually condition your lashes while you wear it - pretty cool right?

I was also sent three new Master Drama The Nudes eye pencils which are beautiful coppery, metallic, shimmer shades that are brilliant worn alone or teamed with The Blushed Nudes eyeshadow palette to give you look some added drama.

Overall, I really loved all three products. The shadows in the palette aren't overly pigmented which suits me because I tend to have a heavy hand and I find it's much easier if you build up colour slowly instead of having to spend time blending away too much shadow. In terms of blending, the shadows blended really easily too which was also a big plus for me. The Lash Sensation Luscious mascara is definitely my new fave (great price too) and the Master Drama The Nudes eye pencils are brilliant for giving any makeup look an intense shimmer!
