This 1996 BMW M3 was purchased by the owner and a partner in 2005. The owner is a proprietor of a well known BMW shop in Santa Rosa, CA, a driver and crew chief on almost all the 25 hours of Thunderhill races as well as a former Can Am Crew Chief and Indy Car crew member.

The concept was that this would be used for HPDE track days by his friend and the owner would race in the ‘IP’ class of BMW CCA Club Racing. After a few years, the engine had a malfunction, our client bought out his partner and turned it into a proper racecar. He ran it BMW Club Racing for years and then NASA ST3 class.

This car is one of the best built and prepped M3 racecars out there with a laundry list of top components as well as significant lightening of the chassis. It has been used more sporadically in the past 5 years however the owner has installed new rod bearings and cylinder head gasket.
