Another Silly Video by Susan Kirby. A trip to the Bronx Zoo on Dec. 11, 2019, was full of delightful animal sightings followed by a night enjoying the Holiday Lights, with animal lanterns and lighted animals decorating the zoo grounds. The video begins with bison, and continues to the World of Birds, lots of ducks, reindeer (perhaps backup sleigh pullers?), a pacing snow leopard, a yawning bear and other live beasties. Then after the seals cavort, the video checks out the lanterns and the amazing Christmas tree with dancing lights.
(A note: Dec. 11 was rainy, with occasional sleet and snow. Several of the animals were not on display for that reason, and I put in some footage from 2017 and 2016 for the tiger, lions, and zebra.)
This day and evening adventure is accompanied by "The Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saëns, performed by the Seattle Youth Symphony and obtained from MusOpen.org, a royalty-free music source.
