As the cool months of autumn brings in the pecan harvest season, you have to try this mouthwatering bite-sized dessert favorite and add it to your culinary recipe list. It’s incredibly delicious and quick and easy to prepare. We even threw in a 3-Ingredient No Sugar Added Maple Simple Syrup Recipe. It’s fantastic and is a wonderful corn syrup alternative for those looking for less sugar but also craving for that traditional pecan pie taste. This classic pecan pie filling recipe gives you both with no corn syrup or sugar added ingredients. Throw this sweet and fabulous syrup on your waffles, pancakes or other favorite dessert dish.

Just prepare this mini pecan tart crowd pleaser, and, in less than 45 minutes AirFryer time, you will be surprised and very pleased with the fantastic results.

If you use my Flaky and Buttery Homemade Pie Crust Recipe, you will get one 9-10 inch pie crusts. Just prepare and cut at least Six 3-4 inch mini pie crust disks from the dough (should be at least 1/8 inch thick). If you are in a rush, one 9-inch store-bought pie shell works just as well to get similar results. But you should try my dough recipe for true flakiness and a wonderful buttery texture.

After rolling the dough, prepare the crust and mold it around your mini pie or muffin pan that will fit into your AirFryer basket. Usually, you don't have to grease tart pans if the pan material allows it or if the pan is non-stick, but if you want a little more confidence to un-mold the pan to avoid crumbling and sticking to the tart, throw a little flour and grease or little flour and butter around the pan to make things easier. You can use PAM or other oil spray just before the dough is pressed and draped over the pan. If removing the tart still concerns you, I have included a video molding technique in this recipe that you will be very pleased with and get tremendous and beautiful results when un-molding the tarts every time.

-When freezing the dough, wrap it tightly and you should be able to freeze it for up to 3 months - thaw in the fridge for 24 hours before using.

-Make sure your dough is at the right temperature when you roll it out. If it starts to break, it’s probably too cold. Let it sit at room temperature a little longer and try again. If it’s sticky and hard to handle, it’s probably too warm. Refrigerate it again.

-if making your dough from scratch, chill it for an hour after it's made, then roll it out on a lightly floured surface.
