"Dinbych Y Pisgod" which translates in English as " Fort-let of the Fish" or to the general public, possibly better known as Tenby. That jewel in the crown of the Welsh Riviera!
Not many people are aware of the fact that the 'fort-let' in question was actually an Iron Age coastal Promontory Fort later rebuilt as a Norman castle. Later still in the 1800s during the Napoleonic paranoia, the Island hosted a defensive fort in order to cover a strategically important coastal area. A few years ago we visited Tenby and obtained some beautiful footage of the harbour and the Island forts.
