Uli Jon Roth - The Summer

There we go, The Summer is finally uploaded. This upload, unlike many others on youtube, contains all three parts of this Season. It's been created by Antonio Vivaldi, and re-arranged completely for Sky Guitar and Sky Orchestra by none other than Mr. Ulrich Roth, a.k.a. Uli Jon Roth.
Mr. Roth's inventive playing and immeasureable contribution to modern rock and metal music has often overshadowed his outstanding skills as a composer, interpretator (not in terms of simple reproducing!), and a philosopher. I find him equally important as any of ancient Greece's or Rome's greatest minds - it's an unsettling fact that he and his teachings are very underrated.
But, to get back to our topic here. The Summer is the second part of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons". Mr. Roth's "Metamorphosis" has been published exactly 280 years later, and manage to surprise the listener with it's incredible complexity, showing yet another time that his concept of classical interpretation isn't close to what is today known as "symphonic rock", basically a rock band playing their own thing with symphonic noises in the background. No. This shows us (in my opinion) the next logical step in classical music's evolution - incorporation of an electric guitars as a lead instrument, sometimes featuring intense and intriguing violin vs. electric guitar duels. And, the Sky Guitar can stand it's ground. Because, unlike many many others who call themselves "neoclassical guitar virtuoso players", who tend to employ symphonic elements only to (pardon my rudeness) keep mistaking their guitars for their penises, Mr. Roth's playing and classical music concept shows how an electric guitar can be a breathe of fresh air in a bunch of stereotypes about how an orchestra should look (or better, SOUND) like. To those who think that electric instruments, especially the guitar, are unworthy to be in an orchestra - take another listen, and keep in mind what you read here. Enjoy! :)
