In this video I show how to create a progress chart version 2

Progress charts are visual tools we use to track progress of an activity or a process or a goal towards a target, at a given point in time, which is the reporting period.

In this sense we can talk about.

The current level of achievement.
The current level of compliance
The current level of completion.


In health and safety application, we can use progress chart to track:

a) Level of compliance after an audit or inspection which has scoring criteria to estimate a score.

b) Level of competence of a workforce following a health and safety training; if your training matrix produces a score.

c) Performance of an employee following employee appraisal.

d) Level of continual improvement from your corrective action tracking which enable to estimate a corrective action rate.

e) And even measuring HSE key performance indicators against objectives and target; where an objective could be… improving workplace controls, through a weekly inspection, and target would be 52 for a year. And so, you can track how many inspections have been carried out towards the 52 target for the year.
